Ingredients:
- 2 Large potatoes
- 1/2 Cup boiled green peas
- 1/2 Capsicums
- 2 Large chopped onions
- 2 tsp chopped onions for garnish
- 1 Large chopped tomato
- 2 tbsps garlic
- 6 tbsps butter
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- pinch of turmeric and asafoetida
- 1/2 tsp chilli and coriander powder
- water 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Mango powder 1tsp
- freshly ground black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- 1/2 lemon juice
- chopped cilantro 1 tbsp
- 2 Paavs
- Cut all the vegetables into small pieces.
- Melt Butter and splutter the cumin seeds, add asafoetida, garlic and onions, followed by the powdered spices and the tomatoes.
- When the tomatoes get all sloshy, add vegetables, mango powder, seasoning and blend it well.
- Add to it water and cook till it turns tender.
- Add the cooked green peas, and cook it on slow flame for 2 minutes.
- Smear the Paavs with butter on heated tawa and brown to make it crisp.
- Add a dollop of butter as a garnish to the bhaji when serving hot, along with freshly ground pepper, chopped onions, chopped cilantro and lastly a shower of lime.
- Serve hot.
